Next Gen Sales Cloud

Breaking Down the New Features You Need to Know About

In March 2021, Salesforce announced their next generation Sales Cloud and the seven new features that will position you for success in a remote, digital-first world. According to a recent Salesforce survey, sixty-one percent of salespeople believe their roles have changed permanently since COVID-19 began. In fact, fewer than half expect to return to the office once they’re allowed to do so. Sales Cloud 360 helps to address many of the concerns that leaders have regarding a more remote, digital workforce.

Let’s dig into the highlights of the two free features that will help you accelerate your growth in the new normal. Then we’ll take a look at the ones that will cost you some money.

This feature provides sales managers with detailed insights into their team’s performance and uses AI to narrow focus on the deals that matter the most. It also tracks pipeline changes week by week to identify which deals might need additional support or coaching from managers.

Pipeline Inspection

Pipeline Inspection will be generally available in Summer 2021.

Global Models for Einstein Scoring Opportunity

While Opportunity Scoring was one of the first Einstein features to be released for free, it came with a downside – you had to have a minimum of 200 closed won and 200 lost Opps for the analysis to work.

Salesforce has now created Global Models that use aggregate, anonymized trends across Salesforce customers so that businesses can get started with AI before they hit the 200/200 threshold. Global Models for Opportunity Scoring is generally available now.

And now on to the paid features announced in March 2021…

Salesforce Meetings

Salesforce Meetings were announced last year and are generally available now. This feature provides:

  • Meeting Digest page with a 360 view of all attendees on one screen, including account history, open service cases, and bios

  • Once the meeting is started, the presenter’s presentation will show, alongside a headshot of the speaker, creating a more engaging experience for attendees

  • Automated action items to prompt the salesperson to schedule another meeting or create a contact for a new decision-maker, post-call

Salesforce Meetings is free for Unlimited or Performance editions; all other editions are paid.

myTrailhead

myTrailhead is Salesforce’s digital skilling platform, fully integrated into Sales Cloud. This means you access relevant enablement materials and training resources, all within your Sales Cloud workspace.

myTrailhead will be generally available in Summer 2021 and is a paid feature.

Mulesoft Composer

Salesforce has embedded the Mulesoft platform inside of Salesforce. What does this mean for you? Sales operations teams can connect apps and systems to Salesforce, automate sales processes, and unlock more meaningful sales insights without having to wait for development resources.

Mulesoft Composer is a paid feature and is generally available today.

Tableau Business Science

Providing AI-powered predictions, insights and automated explanations, Tableau Business Science allows sales teams to analyze data and make informed decisions faster – all using clicks, not code.

Tableau Business Science will be generally available at the end of March 2021 and is a paid feature.

Einstein Conversation Insights

This paid feature analyzes video call transcripts to highlight trending keywords or types of interactions (think product names and competitor names). These insights can help managers to tailor training and coaching to the team’s needs when the manager can’t physically walk the sales floor.

Einstein Conversation Insights is a paid feature and is generally available today.
